Esaliens TFI, one of the leading independent investment fund management companies in Poland, has announced holding 9.75% of the shares of multiQure – a GPW-listed company developing an innovative gene therapy for Huntington’s disease. The investor joined the shareholder base by acquiring the Company’s shares as part of the series S share issue completed on 22 June this year as part of an accelerated bookbuild offering (ABB).

The flagship asset in multiQure’s portfolio is an RNAi platform targeting the treatment of Huntington’s disease and other polyglutamine diseases.
– We are very pleased to welcome such a large and prestigious institution to multiQure’s shareholder base. For us, this is proof that our business model, gene therapy project and pipeline have gained recognition among major investors. The funds raised from the latest issue will enable us to deliver the upcoming milestones related to the preliminary confirmation of the therapy’s efficacy and its safety profile in humans – comments Sławomir Wójcik, Member of the Management Board of multiQure.
Esaliens TFI is among the funds and family foundations that acquired shares of the Company as part of the series S share issue carried out on 22 June this year under the ABB formula. Through the transaction, the Company raised PLN 50 million, which will be allocated to a number of milestones, including the production of the viral vector, the administration of the therapy to the first patients, and obtaining preliminary results confirming the therapy’s efficacy and safety profile. In parallel, the Company will prepare a clinical trial application (IND submission) to the FDA or another regulator.
