The National Court Register has approved the Company’s application to change its name from Pure Biologics to multiQure and has registered the increase in share capital. This marks the full implementation of the Agreement entered into by Pure Biologics with the Biofund Capital Management fund, which simultaneously became the Company’s main Shareholder (49.99% of the shareholding structure). The registration of the new shares represents the formal closing of the transaction carried out in June this year – the introduction into the Company of an innovative RNAi therapy for Huntington’s disease and the transformation of its business model. The new shares will be admitted to trading on the WSE (GPW) after settlement at the KDPW.
– In just over 3 months we brought to the Polish stock exchange a best-in-class project that could significantly change the treatment of Huntington’s disease, raised PLN 50 million to deliver the most important milestones, and brought leading Polish investment and pension funds into the Company’s shareholder base. I am glad that we managed to complete this process so efficiently, so that the Company can now focus solely on preparing for and administering the therapy to the first patients, in order to obtain results on its efficacy and safety profile – says Dr Kris Siemionow, shareholder of the Biofund Capital Management fund and Member of the Supervisory Board of multiQure S.A.
In the coming months, multiQure will be preparing to administer the RNAi therapy to the first patients at a specialized center. Following the initial administrations, physicians will conduct regular patient monitoring, with results from this process expected by mid-2028. In the meantime, multiQure will prepare a clinical trial application (IND submission) to the FDA or another regulator. Its submission is planned for mid-2028.
– We have been through a very intense period, but we are not slowing down. We are now focused on gathering data from the therapy administered to patients with Huntington’s disease regarding its efficacy and safety profile as quickly as possible – says Sławomir Wójcik, Member of the Management Board of multiQure S.A.
Thanks to the agreement with the Biofund Capital Management fund, the Company raised PLN 50 million to deliver the most important milestones. Each new share was issued in exchange for a specific consideration: the RNAi therapy project for Huntington’s disease contributed to the Company, the conversion of a loan granted to the Company by ACRX, and cash raised through the ABB process.
